A contemporary harpsichord concerto, the three movements imitate consolidated historical models of the baroque and classical-romantic solo concert. An orchestral ritornello is proposed at the beginning and end of the first movement while the central part is made up of partial expositions of the ritornello and a close dialogue between solo instrument and orchestra. The musical style is characterized by a simple harmonic language enriched by the frequent use of polyrhythms.
This concerto can be played with a quartet or a string quintet.
